This cookware is graded for RESTAURANT USE. It will have obvious blemishes, but these irregularities will not affect the cooking performance of the pan. Blemishes may be negatives in the cooking surface, evidence of grinding, out of flat spec (>1/8" over 1'0"), or other cosmetic irregularities.  

They are intended for restaurant use.  They are sold as-is, are non-refundable, and are a final sale.  They are not eligible for our warranty.

Awesome Pan!

It was with a little fear that I bought a restaurant quality pan. I read the reasoning behind the grading of pans, and thought why not give one a try? Frankly, on my pan I looked and looked and can't find why it was down graded. It cooks really well! I did meatballs tonight and they turned out perfect! I'm happy with all of my Butter Pat pans.

Pan wobbles and rocks

Purchasing a restaurant use pan, I expected to get some minor defects in the pan. Some casting flaws that wouldn't affect the overall cooking quality. What I wasn't expecting, was for the pan to have a pretty bad warp to the bottom of the pan causing it to not sit flat on the counter or on the stove. It's a shame, because it's a really nice pan with some minimal casting flaws (surface porosity). In my opinion it wasn’t worth the discount to get a pan that’s warped. It’s a roll of the dice on whether or not your pan will have a cosmetic flaw or a dimensional flaw in the pan.

Of course it has a noticeable flaw. If it didn’t it would be sold at full price. The reason our products are expensive is that we maintain very high quality standards. We let you know before making a Restaurant-grade purchase that they might not be flat, and that they WILL have noticeable casting defects. If you want our first quality: pay the price and get our best quality. If you are using a pan on gas or on a campfire or in a restaurant environment - where flatness and perfection isn’t important - by all means these pans offer the opportunity to save money.

Best pans I have!

I have a lot of old vintage cast that I have restored over the years. I love the vintage skillets from design to weight and the smooth surfaces. That’s what attracted me to Butter Pat. I have everything you guys make other then the homer, and everyone preforms flawlessly. Clean up is a breeze. I love the old look, old feel, light weight skills that your team manufactures. I truly believe these pans will be considered the best crafted brand of our time and will hold value as Griswold, Wapak, Wagner and the like does today. These pans will be passed down and be well used. Thanks for making such a quality product here in the USA!

Pan is great. Quality is excellent. Follow the directions recommended by Butter Pat and it is easy to keep clean and in great shape. Like the 2 pans I purchased so well I ordered two more to have a more complete set.
