AUNT ALMA

18 Reviews

2 3/4-Inch Cast Iron Skillet

The 2” cooking surface of the Aunt Alma makes it practically useless for cooking anything. However, quail eggs aside, it’s a handy place for keys, rings, and coins for every cook.

Please keep in mind that the Aunt Alma is a toy size skillet. The Alma is made with the same cast iron recipe as are our skillets but the Alma is not graded as cookware.  You should expect a slightly rougher surface.

Fun little trinket.

Neat little thing cast almost as nice as the full sized ones.

Novelty for sure

Using it as a paperclip holder on my desk, and it works well. Considering turing it into a Xmas Tree Ornament by adding some ribbon and hanging it off a branch!

Butter pat

I have restored several hundred vintage cast iron skillets for my friends and myself in southern Maryland. I love the Erie, and Wapak. But after purchasing butterpat, they are top shelf in my books. I now have eight butter pat’s. Simply the best for cooking or display!

For Aunt Alma

The tiny skillet is cute, but more or less useless. I bought it to remember my Great Aunt Alma. I bought two, one for me and one for my Aunt Jeanne. Aunt Alma put her through college in the 1950s. Aunt Alma was a very kind and giving lady, successful businesswoman, Postmaster in Pa in the 1940s. Lived to be a centenarian, active and sharp ad a tack until the day she died.
