Butter Pats are lighter than most cast iron cookware, but no matter what anyone says, cast iron is not "light".
We originally designed this tote to move hot pans in our shop. Then, they started disappearing for use at home: for pan storage, to potlucks and doubling as a wood carrier.
Made for us in Virginia from heavy-duty waxed cotton canvas and a heat-resistant siliconized fabric used in firefighting equipment. The Heavy Hauler is tough enough for one pan or a whole stack.

After several outing with, bags, baskets and other devices we received the Hauler as a gift. It’s very functional and easy to use. It was not an inexpensive gift. Too pricy to buy for personal use.

Just received the Butter Pat Heavy Hauler and what a perfect addition to the Butter Pat line of fine cast iron cookware of which I own in its entirety! This design is brilliant for many reasons but the one I’m particularly thrilled about is for potlucks. When you transport your cast iron skillet or pot with food to a friend or family member’s house using the Heavy Hauler, it naturally surrounds both the skillet/pot and the glass lid preventing the lid from slipping off and falling to the ground! The quality of the Heavy Hauler is absolutely stellar!! Anything you buy from Butter Pat is going to be unmatched in quality by any other company and this product is no exception!!!
